I'm also finally getting around to watching Season 2 of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's pretty good so far!

Do we really need to tell the Pokemon to dodge an attack in the anime? Wouldn't their default action be to not get hit by giant fireballs?

This just seems strange, is all. Do the Pokeballs put Pokemon so far under the sway of their Trainer that they will literally sit there and get hit unless you explicitly tell them to avoid the giant beam of searing death?

Jeez.

I downloaded Pokemon Silver on a whim a few days ago, just for nostalgia's sake, coupled with the sudden urge to raise me some Pokemans.

Go on, save yourself. The Pokecrack has me again. I spent about four hours last night in a state of sheer elation, just making happy noises at the screen as I kicked ass and took names. All the cool stuff of the old generations with none of the bothersome crap of the new~ Mareeps and Woopers and Pigdeys, aaaaa~

I still remember the game inside out, too. Four Gym Badges in three sittings ain't too bad. It's just...this was the game I grew up with, man. This was my childhood, much like a lot of you. Playing it again is like concentrated happiness.

And in case you're curious about the title, I named my Ekans MTLGEAR?! and my Wooper FUCK YEAH. Never let it be said I'm not classy.

So I went to Supernova yesterday! It's basically the only con all year in my city, and it's the first time I ever went, so I was understandably excited about the whole shenanigan. I would have gotten this up last night but apparently it was vitally important that my mother play online poker for about seven hours straight.

Then I helped an Orihime and Tsunade find the train station, went home and watched some movies, the end.

So yes! All in all, a good time. I didn't actually BUY anything because I was too busy checking out all the cosplaying, but I enjoyed myself a lot nonetheless. A+ WOULD ATTEND AGAIN.

No, self...no. You cannot have any Konishi/Neku dubcon, no matter how much your replay of TWEWY is making you think of it. The thing about Neku secretly crushing on Yashiro is okay, though.

Otherwise~ I dunno. The comedy festival is on! It's pretty good, though I've kinda lost my taste for standup lately. I'm only half paying attention, which is odd, considering how utterly committed to comedy I used to be. Must have just been a phase~ or they're just not being very funny. Likely the latter.
I am intrigued at the amount of homoerotic jokes we're having so far, though. WHO SAID AUSTRALIANS WERE RACIST AND HOMOPHOBIC, RIGHT

My mother mentioned that apparently ALL of my female RL friends have told me that they loved me while she was in earshot. I was honestly not aware of this, especially considering how reserved some of them are. I GUESS I'M JUST THAT LOVABLE? And yes, my friendslist in real life is 90% women in real life too. Go me.

Hey, everyone! I hope you all had a good Christmas, because I know I sure did. I got a pretty good haul of stuff; though oddly, it's the first holiday in awhile where I haven't gotten a single game. That's...kinda odd. I know I'm DYING to get Phoenix Wright 3, buuut...oh well. Anyway, I got:

- A keyboard (as in the musical instrument) from my parents

I gotta say, I was way more excited about those sketches than any of the other stuff. :B Such a dork.

Anyway, I feel bad for not putting anything here for, like, a whole week. The next screencap adventure will be up very early next month, but for now...Pokefic! It's rather sparsely edited, so apologies if it sucks.

...It's actually been a pretty chilled-out week, actually. While I kept meaning to put stuff up here, I spent most of this week relaxing and playing videogames. I guess I needed it? I mean, I got up to make comics and write stuff occasionally, but it was never anything that vital; just stuff to meet demands. I dunno, really.

All right, a certain thing - that I cannot specify upon because it is a big spoiler - has been whipping my ass in Illusion of Gaia, so the next updates will take a day or two. In the meantime, I present you with Pokefic and some Illusion of Gaia stuff.

I've been meaning to link this for awhile, but apparently there is a small amount of Illusion of Gaia fanfics around! I'm pretty sure none of them contain ending spoilers, so you should be safe.

Quite a bit of Gaia fanart over at the deviant arts, too. Some of it is quite good. It's always interesting to see how people interpret the details of Will and co. from these little sprites. Freedan is looking a little too bishie for my tastes, but eh.

There's an Illusion of Gaia remix over at Dwelling of Duels, too. It is pretty damn good!

Also, a lovely fellow called Codeman38 has apparently gifted the Internet with the Illusion of Gaia font! The very same one used in the whole Soul Blazer trilogy, apparently. There are a whole bunch of awesome VG fonts on his page - personal faves include the Mr. Saturn font and the DOS font - and I heartily encourage you guys to download the crap out of them.

I saw a Zidane Tribal figure for fifteen dollars while I was out today. God I want that so bad it's unhealthy. My little dork-shrine on my desk will be growing nicely if I add that; at the moment, all I have is six little Pokemon figurines and a Super Mushroom plushie. There's nothing quite like videogame merch to give a desk some flavour.

But anyway, content. Following in Zarla's footsteps with the 'Together Forever' format over at the NPLU (and with her blessing, of course), I've been writing some Pokefic on my own Sinnoh team. I've got four parts kinda-written at the moment, two of those in re-write status, but this is the first part (hopefully of many) that will be completed and posted up.

Did that sentence make any sense? Doesn't matter. POKEFIC AWAAAAAY

Okay, so apparently it's fanfic time. This idea came to me sometime last week, at about 10PM at night, while I was trying to get to sleep. Since it REFUSED TO LEAVE ME ALONE, I had to write it. It's been edited and rewritten since then, so hopefully it doesn't wholly suck.
