I had a very big day today!

Baleeted that last post, for those who saw it. Feeling much better today, thank you!

Still not sure if I wanna continue with that Ghoul Patrol adventure. If I thought I could be entertaining enough on my own, I might try it without other commentators, but errrrgh. So much effort. But then, I'd be leaving one unfinished. Conundrum!

Final instalment, guys! Let's blaze this soul all the way to the finish!

Thanks for sticking with me throughout this one, guys! I know I took ages between instalments for awhile there; I just started to feel really burnt out on the whole screencap adventure thing. It happens in every thing, really, but this one was worse than most. Still, I really appreciate all the comments and love I got for this game!
I'm gonna take a bit of a break before the next one, but maybe I'll put up the choices soon. Possibly try the Kid Klown NES game as a supplementary. 8D

I've been prodded back into considering anime and manga lately, by various people. In the interests of Because I Feel Like It, here's a quick rundown:

Axis Powers Hetalia: Fun and amusing, but kinda pointless. The fandom is extremely batshit for such a silly little comic. Needs more Australia.
Ghost Hunt: Interesting, and I like Mai, but too much of a slow burn even for my slow-burning self. Needs less Australia because something about the dumbass Australian exorcist - named John Brown, no less - is vaugely insulting.
DOGS: Bullets & Carnage: Interesting, but I don't think I'm in the right mood for it. Strong characters and I'm not ashamed to admit Nill RPers basically force-fed me adorable until I caved.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: Very fun and a real interesting thing to watch. Very fond of Kyon and Nagato. Haruhi was actually more 'eccentric' where I thought she would be 'utterly batshit crazy'.

So, all in all, about 2 for 4 with half-marks for the other two. Not too bad!

Dream last night; giant pools of blood coming out of huge horizontal gashes along the middle of my palm and my wrist. Dad drove me to the hospital, where I had to keep my arms up to keep the cuts from hanging open, and Mum did not care in the slightest. Symbolism.

Can't sleep. feyrae3, I rescind my recommendation of The Raw Shark Texts. I was reading it before going to sleep, and it pulled my brain into a stream-of-conciousness swirl for almost two hours, in which I'm pretty sure I only got a little bit of sleep. Hence why I'm up now. Any book which actually makes me lose sleep and say 'fuck it, come on brain, stop thinking like that' is not for Jonesy.

I still feel a little creeped. I'm losing myself in music right now to push the sheer weight of the words out of my mind. Let's do a screencap adventure to help alleviate this, shall we?

So hey, it's 2009. How 'bout that. I spent the turnover alternating between thoroughly retarded Ace Attorney meta and Persona 3. I believe I was grinding when it hit midnight. And honestly? I preferred it that way. Going out, drinking, socialising...it really seems to have been put on the back-burner lately. I want to see my friends more, but the sheer level of effort that I have to put in to organise a few scant hours just really doesn't make it worth it.

Dissidia icons have also been making me giggle at the thought of Tidus bugging the shit out of Squall. JUST, YOU KNOW, THROWING THAT OUT THERE. LATE CHRISTMAS FIC HINT HINT

And now, that screencap adventure I've been promising for about two weeks now. I guess I'm kinda losing my drive to do this! Soul Blazer isn't exactly full of comedy gold. Maybe next time I should do something more like Swordcraft Story 2, except not as ridiculously long.

I've been toying with the idea of doing one of the GBA Sims games for my next one. Urbz and Sims 2 would make the best material, but I wouldn't be averse to Pets or Bustin' Out, either. Any ideas on that, F-list?

Edit: OH ALSO. Among the bunch of books I got out from the library recently, there's this one called Wuthering High. I basically got it because the blurb promised 'high school -> MYSTERY -> allusions to classical literature -> PROFIT!' and that just hooked me. You know the third step, just before profit, that's usually ???
THAT is 'allusions to classical literature' in disguise. XD

The book is written by that stellar, well-known publisher MTV Books as well, so you know it's KWALITY. They also released 'Oh My Goth', so we're CLEARLY in good company.

...yes, they had a publishing label. Who knew?

The kids next door are playing obnoxiously loud, repetitive house music again. Not the good stuff, like Daft Punk or somesuch. No, the stuff that's basically someone smacking two pieces of metal together and then running that sound through a synthesiser. Looks like I'll be sleeping on the couch at the other end of the house tonight. The walls in this house are paper-thin, so sound REALLY carries, and being the most idiotic brand of kid, they're playing it as loud as humanly possible.
